Post PhelmDip
I'd like to make a complaint about Phlem Dip cod4. I begin to play the game with him and the whole time he accuses people probably more or less me of hacking then at the end of the game when I'm close to his score although joining 20 kills behind he cries in his mic about hacking and lagg which my ping is 110 which isnt great but not bad. He sits out the 2nd game and joins in the third game. He joins late coming close to my score with his Mpnoob5 gun. Then boots me at the end of this game. I said nothing bad to anyone the whole time I was there which I hardly ever do in any online game because im an adult even though I was tempted to call him a fag for Mg glitching most the game. From what I can tell he was having a feild day with noobs he could kill and I was ruining his good time. I'm sure his actions dont represent WoS on the whole, however if he is your CL I feel sorry you follow this guy. Have a nice day, Rex.

I would like to hear more. Sure doesn't sound like our Phlem. He is in my X-fire list and COD4 isn't one of his games. Can this be a mistaken identity? He doesn't have time to join us in any on-line game because of a heavy work schedule, so I would find it surprising that he would be out annoying anyone. Not our code of conduct for sure. Keep checking back, I am sure when he sees this post he will respond.

I doubt it's our Phlem. Sounds like you googled to get here trying to track down your quarry and missed.

Sorry, but this is a PhlemPersonator of some kind. I play COD4 only at Intel LANFest events, which means I play for a few hours every few months, and that's it. And I suck badly at it. If this guy has any skill at all in COD4, it's definitely not me. The only FPS games I play with any regularity are Q2 and BF2, and then not so often the last few months.

We actually had another Intel LANFest event this weekend here in Oregon, but I did not even play COD4 there; since I have been sick the last few weeks, I did not manage to fix Corniss's gaming machine and my own gaming machine has been so flaky I did not want to risk it, so we went to the event yesterday just as visitors for about two hours. We went to say Howdee to our friends there and to try our hands at winning the raffle prizes. Howdee's were a success, but Corniss did not win another Quad Core Extreme CPU (or an i7) this time.

For what it is worth, back in the heyday of Q2 (when there were 4,000 plus Q2 servers on-line) there were actually at least 10 variations of the Phlem player name showing up on game stat sites. Only three of them were me ... one Phlem<WOS>, my primary for regular play, one "Phlem" for playing in clan-less areas, and a lame Phlem_Download one for when I connected to a server just to download the maps.

My apologies on behalf of Phlems everywhere. We do not condone such behaviors.

By the way, thanks, BVJ, for the XFire note about this issue of the Bad Phlem. I only run XFire on the machine I have running upstairs on my ham radio ... XFire still pooches my game box for some reason.

I have been just plain overwhelmed lately between work and this damned chronic bug I have been fighting for weeks. (Though it is surely nothing as serious as QW's recent ordeal). Now it seems both Corniss and Mrs. Phlem are big time sick again tonight. Looks like it could be swine flu, which has already showed up amongst some of the kids in Corniss's home room class at school.

Looking forward to two or three consecutive weeks of having the whole family healthy again ... but I would settle for one.

Just in case my previous post was not clear, I have not played COD4 on the internet, pretty much EVER. All of my playing has been restricted to LANfest games, on servers we were running at the events. I played briefly one Saturday in June, and that's been it, pretty much for all of this year. If you do find this PhlemDip guy, please let me know.

Thanks Phlem for the explanation. I think that if cutler comes back he will see the difference between Phlem and PhlemDip by your comments. Good luck on the flu etc. Get well.

Sorry cutler but I do believe you have the wrong Phlem. The PhlemDip you describe is completely opposite of our Phlem. We promote good sportsmanship here and our Phlem is a good example of great sportsmanship. The conduct of the person you describe is absolutely not tolerated here in WOS.

I hope that you continue to visit our site and maybe play a few rounds of Q2 LOX with us to get to know us before passing judgement.
